Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking 2 of my photos that I had canvased and display them at this awesome Seattle pizza place-Flying Squirrel. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, do so. Now. It’s not only really good, but it’s also family friendly. I would be lying if I said I didn’t bring my 1.5 year old with me to hang the canvas’. I may or may not have had her strapped to by back in a carrier while I nailed nails in the wall. Total mom win if you ask me. In fact, the employees who I look to be too young and WAY too hip to have children of their own were even impressed with my multitasking skills. When you’re a work from home mom you have to learn ways to multitask both parenting and working which includes lots of baby/toddler wearing and snacks. Snacks always make things easier with kids. Who am I kidding, the snacks are for me too. Haha.
I wish I could say that I was good and did something really great for Earth Day, but the reality is I just took a nice warm bath because I was really cold from getting my kids out for a birthday party this morning. At least I feel a bit better for admitting that. It’s raining outside so at least the rain is watering my plants so I guess I am saving water there. I hope you were not like me and you did something nice to honor our Earth today. Maybe you can help me with some simple ways to be nicer to our earth that I can incorporate with my kids. I think that taking less baths would be a good idea but both my girls and I are really addicted to our baths, especially when it’s cold outside. Maybe limiting us to just one bath a week would be a good start. Small steps right?
Tell me how you are honoring Earth Day today and every day.
