I love watching things grow from seeds. There’s something very satisfying about watching a little spout pop up from something that once had no life. I planted seeds with my oldest and she is just as mesmerized that her seed are finally sprouting. In many ways, we are like seeds. It is said “you reap what you sow” and that couldn’t be any truer. We daily plant little seeds in our lives that grow to become beautiful, bountiful fruit or thorny weeds. What we put into our bodies or our minds daily, are the seeds that become these things. Are we constantly putting good things into our minds and souls or could we do a little better about making sure to water and feed our minds and bodies with healthy messages? Who we choose to hang around also makes an impact on what we grow within ourselves. You can plant a healthy. vibrant plant but if you put it in a patch of weeds, eventually the weeds will take over the plant and the plant will die.
We must be careful about who we surround ourselves with so that we don’t get overtaken by the “weeds” out there. Surround yourself with beautiful plants and flowers that will help you grow to be the best beautiful flower that you can be. I tend to be a negative person and I have to really work towards staying positive. It’s not something that comes natural for me. It’s really easy for me to fall into negativity and that’s why I find it extremely important that I surround myself with positive people to help me keep prospective when I get into a negative space. It doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed times of doubt, but it is important that we not linger in that space for too long. If you surround yourself with beautiful people and “flowers” that will lift you up, you will see that you become better emotionally and your energy will change to a positive one. The energy we surround ourselves with is the energy we are able to give back in return.
Are you in a garden of weeds are in a beautiful garden of flowers and fruit? Maybe it’s time to weed your garden.
