Happy Sunday! Sunday’s are supposed to be a day for rest but for many of us they are busy days filled with preparing things for the upcoming week. Things like finishing up laundry, meal prepping and getting the kids stuff together for the week is what fills our “lazy Sundays”. Because of all the hustle, it may seem like our weekends get eaten by more things we feel we have to do instead of what we want to do. While we can’t avoid preparing for the week ahead because lets get real-if we didn’t our weeks would be even more stressful than they already are; we can take some time to enjoy what little of the weekend we have left.
I like to take even an hour to do something fun either as a family or even to sneak away without the kids for a bit as a little mom break to myself. One of my favorite ways to relax and get some me time to myself is by getting a pedicure. I love to just zone out for an hour while my toes go from Frito toes to something I can actually respectably put into a sandal. If sneaking away for some you time isn’t really feasible, then plan something with the family. If it’s nice out go for a walk or a hike, if you live near something pretty-go explore it. One if the things I absolutely love about living in Seattle is that there is always something really pretty to look at any time of the year. Right now, the tulip fields are in bloom and they are absolutely breathtaking.
Rows and rows of tulips lined for miles in every direction create the most amazing landscape. It’s the perfect place to really take some time to appreciate all the blessings in your life. Tell me how you plan on spending your Sunday. I’d love to hear from you!
