One thing I love about photography is putting together the sessions. Each session is unique in the different colors and style and even feel of the set up. It also allows me to play with new colors. My new favorite color scheme is mint and gold. The days of planning nursery colors are over for me, but I almost get to relive that fun time each time I have a new baby come into the studio and I get to plan out their session. Miss G’s session was no exception. Such a happy and easy going baby, she made her one year session a breeze!
Since miss G’s nursery is a mint and gold color, we decided to bring that theme into her 1 year session. We decided against a cake smash but instead let miss G show us what she does best which is play and smile. Babies at all ages are so much fun but there is something extra special about a 1 year old. They are so inquisitive and curious and they love to keep mom on their toes!
I love to think about how their personalities will change or stay the same as they grow. Will they still have that sweet, crooked smile? Will they still find the world a curious place? I guess you could say that it’s these questions along with the spirit of babies that really makes me love what I do. I do a lot of different types of photography but I always come back to photographing babies. It’s a combination of the challenge and the sweet reward.
