I have been away for almost a week as I was spending some much needed time in LA with Lisa and my sister Alannah and her family. My family got the chance to spend the Easter holiday with them which meant our kids not only got to spend time together in the sunshine gathering eggs and bonding, but we also did a lot of cooking and a lot of eating. My husband cooked a ham with yummy sides and we enjoyed eating the meal outside under their Lilac covered patio.
They are blessed enough to get to enjoy a yard full of yummy, ripe oranges, Meyer lemons, sage, rosemary and pomegranates all around them. Not to mention the tomatoes they have started. It’s pretty magical to say the least.
And of course as the saying goes, “when life gives you lemons….” so we had to indulge in some fresh made lemonade and it never hurt to put a little tequila in your lemonade either for a simple lemonita. Fantastic if I do say so myself.
It was a great time of catching up with some family time, seeing the beach and exploring the Los Angeles area. So I apologize for being gone and not posting my daily photo, but let’s be honest, I am really not sorry that I was soaking up some vitamin D the last several days! I hope everyone had a nice relaxing holiday week/weekend no matter if you celebrated Easter or Passover or if you just enjoyed an uneventful weekend.
For me it’s back to posting and I can’t wait to show you some of the beautiful photos I took while I was away!
