The world is wonderful when you’re two. Everything is new to you. You notice the pebbles on the ground, the birds in the trees, everything is exciting and fresh and pretty freaking amazing. It’s also challenging. You don’t have the words to really say how you are feeling; you get overwhelmed very easily and you don’t really know how to express yourself other than letting the tears stream down your face. You are still part baby but now you are moving towards becoming more of a child. You are learning new words and you’re a little sponge soaking up the world around you.
When you’re two you have no idea how incredibly cute you are or how much your mom will miss those little things. That little toddling run that you do, the sweet little voice, the mispronounced words. I don’t care what anyone says-two is great. Is it challenging? Of course it is. But all of life can be a challenge at times. The key is to appreciate the things that are good and are magical and the things that slip away as you move from one stage of life to the next. That’s why I am obsessed with photography. I feel that somehow if I capture these moments in time then it’s impossible for them to fade from memory. I know I am unique in my love for photography but really it’s the magical moments in life that drove me to learn how to shoot in the first place. I love capturing these moments in my own family and I feel honored to be able to capture them for yours.
Happy second birthday baby girl. You have eyes as bright as the sky and a thoughtfulness that shows you are an old soul.
